Guide d'Utilisation et d'Entretien des Waders

Pour garantir la longévité, la performance et l'hygiène de vos waders, un entretien régulier est essentiel. Les soins diffèrent principalement en fonction du matériau : PVC ou membrane respirante.

💡 Conseils d'Utilisation (Tous Types)

  • Sous-vêtements : Ne portez jamais de jeans ou de pantalons en coton sous vos waders. Le coton retient l'humidité, crée des frottements (abrasion) et annule les effets d'une membrane respirante. Privilégiez des sous-vêtements techniques (synthétiques, laine mérinos) qui évacuent la transpiration.
  • Enfilage : Lorsque vous enfilez vos waders (surtout les modèles avec bottes), asseyez-vous. Pour les waders à chaussons, utilisez un tapis de sol pour éviter de percer les chaussons en néoprène sur le sol (gravier, béton).
  • Taille : Assurez-vous que les waders sont à votre taille. Un modèle trop grand ou trop petit subira des tensions anormales au niveau des coutures et des zones de frottement, menant à une usure prématurée.

✅ Entretien des Waders en PVC

(Concerne vos Waders de pêche PVC, Waders de sécurité, Waders ostréiculture, etc.)

Les waders en PVC sont robustes et d'un entretien relativement simple, axé sur le nettoyage et le séchage.

Après chaque utilisation :

➡️ Rinçage : Rincez abondamment l'extérieur à l'eau claire (douce) pour enlever la boue, le sable, le sel et autres débris.

➡️ Séchage (Étape cruciale) :

  • Retournez les waders à l'envers.
  • Suspendez-les par les bottes dans un endroit sec, ventilé et à l'abri du soleil direct et de toute source de chaleur (radiateur, feu).
  • Une fois l'intérieur parfaitement sec, retournez-les à l'endroit pour finir de sécher l'extérieur.

❌ Ne jamais stocker des waders humides ou mouillé ❌ même pour une courte durée, au risque de développer des moisissures et de dégrader le matériau.

➡️ Désinfection : Si des odeurs apparaissent, utilisez un spray désinfectant et bactéricide à l'intérieur (surtout dans les bottes) après le séchage.

➡️ Stockage :

  • Stockez-les dans un lieu sec, frais et à l'abri de la lumière.
  • L'idéal est de les suspendre (par les bottes ou les bretelles) pour éviter les plis marqués qui peuvent devenir des points de faiblesse. Ne les laissez pas en boule dans un sac.

🩹 Réparation (Fuites) :

  • Les trous sur le PVC se réparent facilement.
  • Utilisez un kit de réparation pour PVC ou une colle spéciale (type colle Néoprène, Stormsure, Aquasure).
  • Nettoyez et séchez la zone, puis appliquez la colle ou la rustine selon les instructions du produit. Laissez sécher le temps indiqué (souvent 24h).

Salt and mud are corrosive, even to Rubber®. To keep these waders for 5 years:

  • Vertical Drying (Vital) 💨: These waders are heavy (quality demands it). They must never be dried folded. Always hang them upside down by the boots.
  • Storage 🧱: Store it hanging.
