Rain Cape for Wheelchair Model 910: Ergonomic Waterproofing Without Compromise
Going out in the rain in a wheelchair is a daily challenge: moisture seeps in through the legs, wind rushes up the back, and visibility is often reduced by a poorly fitting hood. This prolonged exposure to cold and water is not only uncomfortable but also hinders your independence and safety. This rain cape was developed as a technical solution to turn every outing into a fully comfortable experience, no matter how heavy the downpour.
Why choose this model?
✔️ Visibility and nighttime safety: the reflective strip on the back ensures you are seen by drivers, keeping you safe during low-light trips.
✔️ Complete airtight protection: the foot cover with drawstring and stopper tightly seals the lower limbs to block cold air from entering.
✔️ Ergonomic vision and fit: the three-piece visor hood with Velcro adjustment precisely follows your head movements without ever obstructing your field of vision.
✔️ Smooth handling for the caregiver: the rear opening with a special flap allows an assistant to handle the wheelchair’s push handles without breaking the garment’s waterproof seal.
Technical details
This garment’s performance comes from plavitex eco® fabric, an innovation combining durability and skin safety. Designed in Europe for intensive use, the cape is made from 100% recycled polyester base with a phthalate-free PVC coating. This pH-neutral material prevents allergic reactions, ensuring optimal comfort for work and daily life. High-frequency welds and a zipper under a Velcro flap provide total waterproofing, while cinching straps adjust the volume to prevent wind catch.

Taking care of your equipment means preserving your protection.
Our clothing is designed with cutting-edge materials to face the most extreme conditions. Whether it is a PVC armor or a breathable membrane, each textile has its own requirements.
This guide concerns our PVC & Coating materials. These materials are non-porous and extremely robust. The maintenance challenge is simple: preserve the flexibility of the coating to ensure waterproofing over time.
🚿 Washing: Gentleness above all
- The ideal method: Prefer cleaning with a soft sponge and lukewarm soapy water after each use.
- In the machine: Only if necessary, on a delicate 30°C cycle, without spinning and with a mild soap.
- To avoid: Never use fabric softeners, solvents, or bleaching agents (chlorine/bleach). These chemicals "cook" the PVC, making it brittle.
💨 Drying
- The ideal method: Let dry in the open air, hung on a hanger, in the shade.
- Dangers: Tumble drying and ironing are strictly forbidden.
- Warning: Never place your equipment on a radiator or near a direct heat source. Excessive heat can cause the coating to peel or harden.
🧱 Storage
- The ideal method: Store your garment hanging on a wide hanger or laid flat.
- To avoid: Never store it tightly folded or compressed for a long period, as this marks fold lines (especially on Rubber 1000g).
- Attention point: Make sure the garment is completely dry before storing to prevent mold growth.
🩹 Repair
- In case of accidental cut, do not throw away your equipment. Use a flexible PVC repair kit or a specific polyurethane glue.
- Pro tip: Apply the repair patch on the inside to maintain waterproofing without compromising the exterior appearance.
