Low Thermal Socks, Model KL09/S: Thermal Protection and Work Comfort

Cold feet are not just uncomfortable; they pose a risk to your safety and productivity. Working with frozen or wet extremities leads to loss of focus and premature fatigue. Too often, regular socks get crushed or saturated with moisture, leaving you vulnerable to low temperatures. Our low thermal socks provide the essential technical solution to turn your safety boots into a barrier against the cold.

The professional no longer lets the cold dictate their pace; they equip their feet with an invisible, tireless thermal armor.

Why choose our model?

✔️ Superior thermal insulation: Its dense felt structure creates an active insulating barrier that traps body heat even when stationary.

✔️ Moisture management: Technical fibers absorb sweat and quickly wick it away, ensuring dry feet during intense effort.

✔️ Wear protection: The high-density felting protects the inside of your boots and liners from repeated abrasion, extending the life of your PPE.

✔️ Ergonomic comfort: With a height of 28 cm, these low socks perfectly fit the foot’s shape without creating pressure points.

Technical details

The effectiveness of these socks relies on a blend of polyester and polypropylene fibers. This high-tech combination ensures exceptional durability against mechanical friction. Unlike natural materials that absorb water, this synthetic mix promotes capillary sweat evacuation while maintaining consistent thickness under the foot. Made in Europe, this product meets the durability requirements of construction and forestry industries, ensuring constant work comfort in the harshest environments.

✔️ Felted : Provides optimal thermal insulation while protecting the liner from premature wear caused by foot friction inside the boot. The natural ability of felt to absorb sweat keeps the foot dry.

Taking care of your equipment means preserving your protection.

Our clothing is designed with cutting-edge materials to face the most extreme conditions. Whether it's PVC armor or a breathable membrane, each textile has its own requirements.

This guide concerns our insulating materials. These materials work by trapping warm air close to your body. Improper care that crushes the fibers or alters the silver particles drastically reduces their heat-retaining power.

🚿 Washing: Preserve volume

  • In machine: Synthetic or delicate cycle at 30°C. Cold washing prevents premature "pilling" of the fleece.
  • Precaution: Do not overload the drum. Insulators (Wadding, Felt) need space to avoid mechanical compression.
  • Choice of detergent: Mild liquid detergent. Avoid powders that can clump in the fibers of felt or wadding.
  • Warning: For the Termoizol technology, never use bleach or chlorine-based products. They could oxidize the metallic layer that reflects your heat.

💨 Drying

  • Ideal method: Flat drying on a rack. This prevents the weight of the water from deforming the felt or causing the wadding to settle to the bottom of the garment by gravity.
  • Tumble dryer: Possible at very low temperature for fleece and wadding (this helps restore loft). Not allowed for felt (risk of shrinkage).
  • Ironing: Unnecessary and strongly discouraged. Synthetic fibers can instantly melt under the heat of an iron.

🧱 Storage

  • Method: Store your clothes in a dry place, preferably on hangers or folded without weight on top.
  • Pitfall: Avoid storing your wadding or termoizol items in vacuum compression bags for long months. Prolonged compression "breaks" the fiber and reduces its ability to trap air in the future.

🩹 Repair

  • Fleece: A simple strong stitch is enough.
  • Wadding & Termoizol: In case of a tear, it is crucial to patch the hole quickly (even with temporary adhesive) to prevent the insulating filling from escaping or fraying.
  • Pro tip: For Termoizol, prefer an internal repair to avoid disturbing the thermal reflection of the silvered layer.
